Our mission is the development of leadership skills in young female residents of the City of Chesapeake by reinforcing ethics, self-esteem, and public service, providing access to prominent female role models and public officials, as well as providing scholarship opportunities.
Workshops for participants include:
- Communication
- Self Defense
- Public Speaking
- Self Esteem
- Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution
- Leadership Roles
- Etiquette & Protocol in Various Settings
- Local Government Process
- Specialized Certifications (CPR & First Aid)
- Field Trip to Richmond to visit the General Assembly
The initial selection preferences will be 11th Grade participants from the following high schools:
- Deep Creek
- Grassfield
- Great Bridge
- Hickory
- Indian River
- Oscar Smith
- Western Branch
